Cat Scratch

Cat Scratch is a storytelling project developed for the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.

The misson of Cat Scratch is to translate a chapter book from print to digital tablet. The team will explore the ways using a tablet could benefit storytelling, without breaking the immersive experience of reading.

Collaborating with the Carnegie Mellon Department of English, we designed and formatted the six chapters of our story. Most animations must be activated by the reader in order to keep them from drawing their attention too early. Our next big challege is to design ways for us to indicate to the reader that something is tapable or a parralax image.

Team Members: Shirley Park, Hannah Turner, Laura Weber, Will Hagan, and Allyn Chang
